NEW YORK -A couple from Mainland China said programs like the Chinese New Year Splendor give Chinese people a sense of pride.
The Lin family has lived in the United States for a couple of years and said, "We're incredibly happy to have seen this show, it was our first time."
"It's something we can be very proud of. Every dance and song number is simply wonderful," Mr. Lin said.
He said they especially enjoyed the programs about Falun Gong.
"I really like them. Because in China, you're not allowed to practice it but in America, you're free to do whatever, you have freedom, and that's why we came to America," Mr. Lin said.
"We really like Zhen Shan Ren [Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance], and also 'The Loyalty of Yue Fei,' very inspirational and performed very well," he said.
The Chinese New Year Splendor continues in New York through Saturday, Feb. 9. For other shows in the Divine Performing Arts world tour, please visit: www.DivinePerformingArts.org. The Epoch Times is a proud sponsor of the Chinese New Year Splendor.
