NEW YORK -On the 2008 Chinese New Year, the huge stage at Radio City Music Hall was once again graced by the Divine Performing Arts Chinese New year Splendor .

Dick McClenahan, a computer graphics teacher from Chelsea, near Greenwich Village, said he became interested in seeing the Splendor after seeing some advertising about it.

"It's very precise, it's beautifully done," said McClenahan. "It hits my heart more deeply. It's very, very beautifully done. I especially like the drummers, I thought they were wonderful."

A seasoned theater-goer -"I'm at the theater easily five nights a week" -McLenahan said the high tech, state of the art digital backdrops showcased in the Splendor were new to him.

"I haven't seen this new enormous LCD screen," he said, adding that he liked the orchestra and the hosts.

"I liked the announcers -I like the bilingual announcers, they're doing a very good job, and they're obviously very rehearsed. The orchestra is fine. Overall, it's just very well done, very well done."

After playing 15 shows in New York between January 30 and February 9, the Chinese New Year Splendor will continue its tour of over 65 cities worldwide with its next stop in Europe.
