NEW YORK -Arts enthusiasts John and Tatiana Keegan enjoyed the ancient Chinese values at Splendor.

Mr. Keegan said the values in the show are still relevant today. He was a city employee for 27 years and is now retired.

His wife Tatiana is a hair stylist on Wall Street and a former dancer. She said she enjoyed watching the dance, particularly the choreography.

She said, "In Russia, and I used to dance, but this is the best dancing I've seen in my life. Those long sleeves ..."

Mr. Keegan agreed, "Yeah, the long sleeves were very nice, too. ... It brought me to tears at times, really."

He also enjoyed the tenors.

Mrs. Keegan said it was nice to see old and new traditions together.

Mrs. Keegan said her favorite scene was the dancing with the Buddha, while her husband enjoyed "Nymphs of the Sea."

"I thought that was great. And the two-stringed erhu -that was great," he said.

They both came to the show two years ago.

"It was very nice, yes. I was so excited. You know. It's amazing, amazing," Mrs. Keegan said.

Mr. Keegan said he had differing opinions from his wife.

"She likes more dance, I like more music," he said.

The Divine Performing Arts international touring companies land next in Germany and Japan.
