NEW YORK -New Jersey dentist Tyson Cornelious learned how to say some Chinese words at the Chinese New Year Splendor on Saturday night.

"It is beautiful. It is colorful. It is vibrant with a lot of energy," said Dr. Cornelious. "I learned how to say 'Xin nian hao' -happy New Year."

Dr. Cornelious said he appreciated being exposed to another culture.

"I grew up in New York where there is culture and now I am in New Jersey where there is a lack of cultural diversity," he said.
