NEW YORK -Divine Performing Arts Chinese New Year Splendor concluded its 15-show run at Radio City Music Hall on Saturday night.

Marialva Robles and her husband, Aoree Luis, from the New York-based Spanish language radio station, 97.9 La Mega, were among those in the audience.

"The show is beautiful, spectacular. We really enjoyed it a lot. It is relaxing and different," said Robles.

"Because it is a different culture, a different kind of music, I say it is great. The performers and the performances are great. I love everything about it." Luis, a DJ for La Mega, interviewed a performer from the Splendor during his morning radio show. A dragon dance and a drumming act were also performed at the studio, a video of which can be viewed on the La Mega website at www.Lamega.lamusica.com.

"The show is very good -I enjoyed the show," said Luis. "I had the opportunity to interview one of the performers on the morning show, and now, after the interview, I now know more about the suffering of the people over there because of the communist system."

Luis was referring to a scene in the show that tells the story of a contemporary tragedy in China: the persecution of Falun Gong, a meditation practice and spiritual discipline currently being brutally suppressed by the Chinese regime.

"I sympathize with those people over there because they do not have the opportunity to enjoy this kind of freedom under that system".

The Divine Performing Arts international touring companies land next in Germany and Japan.
