NEW YORK -"I like the poses that they use. When they dance they'll stop in a very unique pose. It's very gestural, and I really like the flow of the motion," said Casey Dame, an animator for Blue Sky Studios. "I love the backdrops, and the best is the music. I just love the music. We've been to Vietnam and Thailand but we learned a lot about Chinese culture [tonight]."

Casey Dame and his wife Michelle came to enjoy the final showing of the Chinese New Year Splendor at Radio City Music Hall on February 9. "We've been meaning to go for a long time, and we loved it. Since New Years we were trying to get here for that," explained Casey.

Michelle, a graduate student getting her MBA in White Plains, New York, said, "I really appreciated the Falun Gong numbers. Well, I was glad to see that it was being discussed in such a large audience, and I hope it raises awareness. I was just glad to see it."

Performing for a full house, accompanying each dance was the Divine Performing Arts Orchestra, which uses both Chinese and Western instruments. "I say the music is my favorite. I love Chinese instruments and yes, we will recommend it to our friends," said Casey. "I'm sad though, because tonight is the last performance for this show at Radio City in New York."

Also attending the show was Barbara Sheehy, an art and dance teacher from New Jersey. "I found the Splendor very enjoyable. The costumes were very good, I loved the set in the back, and I liked the text in the back so that you could follow along," said Sheehy. "I liked the idea that they swung back and forth from the English to the Chinese, and gave a little bit of a description about each of the things. And I loved the dancing; the dancing was just beautiful."

"I enjoyed it very much; I would come to see it again, and I would recommend it to my friends," added Sheehy.

The Divine Performing Arts international touring companies land next in Germany and Japan. For information on all upcoming shows, please visit: http://www.DivinePerformingArts.org/
